Why?Sample

Why?
Life can be painful or challenging at times. Sometimes these conditions only last a few days or weeks, and at other times, they can last for months or even years. These situations hurt, they stress our family and social relationships, influence our outlook on life, and can negatively impact our relationship with God, our life purpose, and our career or ministry.
Some of the questions people ask during these times are:
- Where is God?
- Why does God allow pain and suffering?
- How can a loving God allow bad things to happen?
- Why does He say “Yes” to some people’s requests and “No” to others?
- Why does He allow bad things to happen to good people?
- Why won’t He intervene when He has the power to stop it or make it better?
Time Out
When we find ourselves asking these questions, we should bring them to God. That’s our way of sharing what is on our hearts and minds with Him. Then, we should sit a while with Him and allow Him the opportunity to respond to us.
But how can He respond, you wonder? He does not speak audibly, so how can we hear Him? The best way to hear Him is through the Holy Bible. Those are His Words to us. Those words include commands, principles, and stories of real people who experienced similar struggles. while following or violating God’s ways.
WARNING: You may not receive an instant answer. In fact, you should consider this as a journey you are on with The Lord as you daily share your raw emotions and feelings with Him throughout the ongoing life challenge. This is how you will receive hope, love, comfort, encouragement and direction during this time in your life.
Better or Bitter?
Regardless of the situation and level of pain, I have learned that life challenges, over time, will make us better or bitter, depending on how we respond to them. Responding well to painful life challenges is not always easy. Honestly, the only way I have been able to become better, and not bitter, is by daily spending time in God’s presence and His Word.

About this Plan

When life hits hard, we want answers. When the rest of the world tells us to "trust God", we have pain inside that needs processing. Let's run to Jesus with our questions and learn to develop a hope and love-filled relationship with The Answer while we are seeking answers.
