Single, Secure, & Thriving

DAY 3 OF 14

EMBRACE THIS SEASON!

Have you ever felt single and not ready to mingle? Have you watched friends enter new relationships or get married, yet something inside whispered, “It’s not your time”? Has your heart longed for God more than a new mate? Have you desired His will and presence above the pursuit of marriage?

The truth is, as single women, we aren’t always fully available. Just as God directs the seasons of nature, He orchestrates the seasons of our lives. He guides, equips, sustains, and blesses. Sometimes, He’s still working on us, shaping us for His greater purpose before opening the door to a relationship.

Acknowledging the cry of your heart helps you recognize your season. Without understanding your season, it’s easy to step into things prematurely. Just as we wouldn’t wear flip-flops in the dead of winter, we shouldn’t rush into marriage if God is still preparing us. Understanding your season allows you to see what God is actively doing within you.

If you notice past relationships lingering in your heart, childhood hurts, or unresolved pain from abuse, this is a clear sign that God has called you to a healing season. Embracing this season gives God the time to make all things new. It’s a season to step back from dating, casual distractions, and “Netflix and chill,” and instead purposefully invest in your walk with Him.

Singleness offers uninterrupted devotion to God. It’s a season for renewal, deliverance, and receiving a fresh vision for your life. Don’t let this time pass without gaining all that God has prepared for you. When you eventually feel ready to step into dating, look to your heart and ask: What am I truly longing for? Most often, it’s peace, fulfillment, direction, hope, and love. Give God full access, and He will provide exactly what you need — at the right time.

As Dr. Myles Munroe wisely said, “Your marriage is only as good as your singleness.”

Reflection:

Singleness isn’t a waiting period — it’s a becoming period. God uses this season to heal, renew, and prepare us for the life and relationships He has planned. Instead of rushing into something premature, focus on your walk with Him. When your heart is fully aligned with God, peace, purpose, and love will follow naturally.

Singleness is truly a gift—a season not to waste, but to lean into with intention and faith. This is a time to lock in with God, grow in wisdom, and discover who you are without distraction. It’s not just powerful; it’s purposeful. And I don’t believe it’s an accident that you’re here. Something in you is craving a fresh perspective, a new way to view this season of your life. God has something new, something life-giving, waiting for you. This is your moment to lean in, trust Him deeply, and embrace the journey ahead with confidence and expectancy.
