The Year of the CourageousSample

Courage to Be Still
Reflection:
Stillness is one of the hardest forms of courage. It’s easy to act, plan, or push, but it takes faith to wait when everything in you wants to fix it.
When Israel stood trapped between Pharaoh and the Red Sea, God didn’t tell them to fight harder—He told them to stand still. Some battles are won not by strategy but by surrender.
Being still doesn’t mean doing nothing. It means trusting that God is working behind the scenes. The pause you resist might be the very place where He’s preparing your breakthrough.
Rest takes courage because it looks unproductive. But faith knows the difference between waiting and wasting. God is fighting for you. Stay still, stay ready, and stay expectant.
Prayer:
God, calm my spirit when I want to rush ahead. Teach me to rest in Your plan and trust Your timing. Remind me that stillness is strength and that You are fighting for me even when I can’t see it. Amen.
