The Year of the CourageousSample

Courage to Believe Again After Disappointment
Reflection:
Disappointment can quietly dismantle your faith. You still love God, still serve Him, but deep down you’ve stopped expecting Him to move for you.
The father in this passage believed, but disappointment made him hesitant. He wanted to trust Jesus but had grown weary from waiting. Jesus didn’t rebuke him for honesty—He met him in it.
Courage sometimes looks like admitting, “Lord, I believe, but help me believe again.” Faith after failure is one of the bravest kinds. God honors honest faith, not perfect faith.
This year, don’t let what didn’t happen keep you from expecting what still can. God hasn’t changed, and your story isn’t finished. Courage says, “Even after the pain, I still believe.”
Prayer:
God, heal the parts of me that have grown numb from disappointment. Help me to believe again, to hope again, and to trust You fully. Revive my expectation, and let faith rise where fear once lived. Amen.
