The Year of the CourageousSample

Courage to Be Honest With Yourself
Reflection:
It takes courage to be honest with everyone else, but it takes even more to be honest with yourself. Self-deception keeps you safe from pain, but it also keeps you from growth.
David invited God to search his heart, not because he wanted exposure but because he wanted freedom. True healing begins with honest reflection. You can’t fix what you won’t face, and God can’t heal what you keep hidden.
This year, be brave enough to look inward. Ask the hard questions: Where am I resisting God’s direction? What fears am I feeding? What habits need to change? Honesty before God isn’t condemnation—it’s transformation.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to face myself with honesty and grace. Expose anything that hinders me from becoming who You’ve called me to be. Heal my blind spots, strengthen my weaknesses, and lead me in Your truth. Amen.
