Provision, Protection, PowerSample

God’s Power Through Your Weakness.
God’s power is unlimited, but man’s power is limited. The sooner we realize that God is not ashamed of our weakness—but desires that we recognize it and depend on Him—the sooner we can live victoriously through His strength and overcome that particular weakness.
A couple of years after I received Jesus as my Savior, I sensed God calling me to preach the gospel and go into ministry. Honestly, that was not what I wanted to hear. I was grateful for salvation and loved the Lord deeply, but the thought of speaking publicly terrified me. I didn’t like being the center of attention—especially in front of hundreds of people.
God won that battle. When I finally surrendered to His will, I felt a great weight lift and a passion rise within me to know Him more. He encouraged me to trust Him and obey His call through the following scripture : “But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and… the weak things of the world to shame the things which are mighty” (1Corinthians 1:27). God showed me that He loved me even though I was timid to speak in front of people.
When I come to Him with honesty—weakness and all—He replaces my weakness with His strength and power. Paul expressed this truth when Jesus told him, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Paul said, “Therefore I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me” (2 Corinthians 12:9).
The prophet Zechariah spoke to the Governor Zerubbabel, who was leading the rebuilding of the Temple after Babylonian exile, and told him that his own strength could not accomplish such a task: "‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts” (Zechariah 4:6).
Come to the Lord today with your weakness, your lack, and your needs. Don’t be ashamed. You come to the Lord of hosts—full of power and grace. May the power of Christ rest on you to break addictions, free you from torment, heal your body, strengthen you in your calling, and anoint you to show Christ to others today!
Prayer:
“Jesus, your grace amazes me. Not only can I admit my weakness to you, but your response is to fill me with your power and strength. I can’t do anything without you, but I can do all things with you! Thank you for your ability in me and through me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
