But here's where it gets intriguing—God, in His infinite wisdom, prescribes an unusual remedy. He instructs Moses to fashion a fiery serpent and lift it high on a pole. Those who, in faith, look upon this elevated serpent are healed.

Although it’s not in today’s reading, we fast forward to the New Testament, where Jesus, in conversation with Nicodemus, draws a powerful parallel. He says, "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:14–15 NKJV).
