Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you (2 Thessalonians 3:1 NKJV).
Are you regularly praying for those who proclaim God’s Word?
In Jeremiah 4, the prophet delivered God’s message to a people who frequently rejected him, yet he faithfully expressed God’s heart, longing for their repentance (Jeremiah 4:1). Many years later, Paul urged the Thessalonians to pray for the spread and honoring of God’s Word (2 Thessalonians 3:1).
Are you praying for those who faithfully preach and teach God’s Word? Your prayers can open doors for the Gospel. Who can you lift up in prayer today? As a pastor, I encourage you to pray for those proclaiming God’s truth, that they may do so boldly and effectively.
Employment Point: Pray for God’s heralds to be bold and to have an open door.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
