Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

Then the LORD said to me, “Do not pray for this people, for their good” (Jeremiah 14:11 NKJV).
Why would God ignore prayers from Moses or Samuel for Jeremiah’s people?
Jeremiah ministered to a rebellious people, and even God’s patience has its limits. The Almighty declared that not even the intercession of Moses or Samuel could save them (Jeremiah 15:1).
Are you taking God’s mercy for granted? His grace is abundant, but it should never be an excuse to continue in sin. How can you seek Him more sincerely today? Don’t presume upon God’s mercy; let it guide you toward genuine repentance and deeper devotion.
Employment Point: Reach out to the lost before God’s mercy expires for them.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
