Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; you shall cry, and He will say, “Here I am” (Isaiah 58:9 NKJV).
Are your prayers being answered?
Isaiah 58 teaches us that God desires more than empty rituals—He calls His people to care for the poor and oppressed. When we live righteously and seek Him with pure hearts, He promises to guide and satisfy us (Isaiah 58:11).
Are you praying and fasting with the right motives? Paul was deeply committed to prayer, constantly interceding for the Thessalonian believers (1 Thessalonians 3:12–13). We should follow Paul’s example: fast and pray, not just for our own needs, but to serve and uplift others, embodying righteousness in all we do.
Employment Point: Fast and pray with a righteous life and receive answered prayer.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
