Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two

DAY 291 OF 365

These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power (2 Thessalonians 1:9 NKJV).

Do you warn others about the reality of Hell?

In Isaiah 66, the prophet vividly describes Hell as a place where "their worm does not die, and their fire is not quenched" (Isaiah 66:24 NKJV). This warning echoes through the teachings of Jesus, who spoke more about Hell than anyone else, emphasizing the eternal consequences of rejecting Him. Paul, too, reminded the Thessalonians that those who do not know God will face everlasting destruction (2 Thessalonians 1:8–9).

Together, Isaiah, Jesus, and Paul highlight the seriousness of this reality. Are you prepared to share the truth about eternity with those around you? Sometimes, love requires having difficult conversations. Don’t shy away from warning others about Hell—eternity is at stake.

Employment Point: Warn the unsaved: Believe in Jesus or experience hell.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
