Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

For by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous (Romans 5:19 NKJV).
Who are the two most important persons in history?
The two most crucial individuals we must know are Adam and Jesus. Adam’s disobedience brought us a sinful nature, leading to death and separation from God. Jesus, on the other hand, offers life. Paul contrasts the two: “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive” (1 Corinthians 15:22 NKJV).
We should be history teachers, emphasizing Jesus’ redemptive work. Knowing the biblical history of Adam and Jesus equips us to share the gospel with a world that desperately needs it.
Today, actively share the story of Jesus’ death and resurrection as the remedy for Adam’s disobedience. Be a teacher of this vital history.
Employment Point: Proclaim Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection as the solution to Adam’s disobedience.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
