Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two

DAY 213 OF 365

Let the peoples praise You, O God; let all the peoples praise You (Psalm 67:3 NKJV).

Does your life bring praise to God?

In today’s reading, Paul explains that everyone, both Jews and Gentiles, are sinners (Romans 1:18–3:20). He points out that just calling yourself a Jew doesn’t make you one if you don’t follow the Law. The term "Jew" comes from “Judah,” which means praise. God wants His people to truly praise Him.

Being a "true Jew" is about more than just outward appearances or ethnicity. Paul says that it’s about having a heart dedicated to God. True worship is not just about outward actions but about inner faith and devotion.

Take a moment to reflect on your life. Are your actions and attitudes honoring God? Aim to live in a way that truly praises Him every day.

Employment Point: Live in such a way that your life brings praise to God.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
