Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two

DAY 212 OF 365

Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed (Mark 1:35 NKJV).

Do you prioritize early morning meetings with Jesus?

David sought God early, saying, “O God, You are my God; early will I seek You” (Psalm 63:1 NKJV). Unbelievers have shunned God, but only He satisfies the soul’s deepest longings. Jesus said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled” (Matthew 5:6 NKJV). Let’s passionately and regularly pursue God, starting our day with Him to experience His direction and blessing.

Set aside time each morning for prayer and reading Scripture. By starting your day with a focus on God and His will for your life, you will gain direction and peace. If you have been faithful in this practice, keep it up. If you have not been consistent, I encourage you to start today and build it into a habit.

Employment Point: Seek God early and experience His direction and blessing.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
