Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two

DAY 210 OF 365

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28 NKJV).

When everything seems bad, do you believe all things work together for good?

According to the title of Psalm 57, David hid in a cave from Saul but remained confident in God. He wrote, “I will cry out to God Most High, to God who performs all things for me” (Psalm 57:2 NKJV). Knowing God’s sovereignty gave David stability. He declared, “My heart is steadfast, O God” (Psalm 57:7 NKJV). Our Lord gives us stability during normally unstable circumstances.

Are you facing a challenging situation in your life today? In these hard times, hold onto the truth that God is still King and has a good plan for you, trusting Him to work everything together for good.

Employment Point: Believe that God works all things together for your good.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
