Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

Because zeal for Your house has eaten me up (Psalm 69:9 NKJV).
What King followed the Lord with all his heart and was unlike any king before or after him?
The answer might surprise you; it is King Josiah! He received great praise in God's words according to 2 Kings 23:25 (NKJV), which states, “Now before him there was no king like him, who turned to the LORD with all his heart, with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the Law of Moses; nor after him did any arise like him.” What made him stand out? He diligently guarded his heart and was zealous to serve the Lord. God honors those who wholeheartedly pursue Him.
So, now look at your own life: How can you imitate Josiah? Do you follow the Lord with a passionate heart? Today, let's commit to zealously pursuing the Lord with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength!
Employment Point: Let God’s Spirit fill your life with contentedness and zeal.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
