While We Wait - Living in Expectancy for Christ's Return (For Women)Sample

Day 3 – Fast While We Wait
Fasting is a powerful spiritual discipline. Sometimes, I can sense when God is calling me to fast. It might happen in the simplest of moments, like walking down the juice aisle at my local grocery store and hearing the Holy Spirit whisper, “Grab a jug of juice.” It takes intentional discipline to pause, obey, and prepare for it. Sis, as we wait for Christ’s return, consider inviting fasting into your spiritual rhythms, following the Spirit’s leading.
Reflection Questions:
1. When has the Holy Spirit prompted you to fast, and how did you respond?
2. How could incorporating fasting into your spiritual disciplines help deepen your personal relationship with Christ?
3. What distractions or challenges might you need to set aside to fully follow the Spirit’s leading?
Closing Prayer:
“Lord, help me to hear Your gentle whispers and respond with obedience when you call me to fast. Teach me discipline in my spiritual practices and guide me as I seek to draw closer to You while waiting for Your return. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
