The Brave and Beautiful Queen from Esther 2-5; 7; 9:20-22

Note to the parents:

This story is a great reminder that following and trusting in God doesn’t always mean charging into battle. Sometimes, it can be as simple as standing up for what is right. God is just as present in a queen’s crown as a warrior’s sword.

Help your child recall the story by asking simple questions about what happened.

Examples:

• What was Esther’s secret?
• What did Esther agree to do when she learned that her people were in danger?
• What happened to the Jewish people because of Esther’s bravery?

Together, think about what you have learned. Invite your child to ask you the question.
Encourage them to add their thoughts or fill in a blank when prompted.

What did we learn about GOD?

• God is always in control and He protects His people.
• God made Esther queen so that she was in just the right place to help her people when they were in danger.

What did we learn about PEOPLE?

• People are part of God’s plan.
• God uses people in lots of different ways.
• He has a plan for you, too!
