A Roaring Rescue from Daniel 1:1-4; 6

Help your child recall the story by asking simple questions about what happened.

• What law did King Darius agree to make?
• Did Daniel pray to King Darius or to God?
• What happened to Daniel in the lion’s den?

What did we learn about GOD?

• God saw Daniel when he refused to pray to King Darius.
• God kept Daniel safe in the lions’ den.
• God also sees you when you do the right thing even though it’s hard.

What did we learn about PEOPLE?

• People who are in charge create laws to follow.
• Many laws are good and help keep people safe. But God’s laws—what He tells us to do in the Bible—are the most important.
• No human law can keep us from worshiping God.
