Hebrews Part 3: Sleepy Christianity

DAY 11 OF 18

Are You as Faithful to God as He is to You?

Life has a way of testing your grip on truth, on hope, and especially on God. When the storms hit, the question isn’t just what you believe but how tightly you’re holding on. That’s why Hebrews doesn’t tell us to float through faith—it tells us to hold fast.

Faith isn’t passive. It’s gritty, steady, and built to last. It doesn’t quit when the pressure mounts or when the answers don’t come quickly. It leans in, digs deep, and decides—again and again—to stay rooted in God's Word, not in the chaos of the moment.

This kind of endurance isn’t something we muster up on our own—it flows from what Jesus has already done. His death and Resurrection opened full access to God, and with that access comes strength. Hebrews 10:23 (ESV) says, “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.” God is faithful to us, so we should be faithful to Him. For any relationship to work, both sides need to be committed and dependable. In our relationship with God, He is fully trustworthy, and we should do our part to work on that relationship.

God hasn’t walked out, and He never will. So don’t let go. Your hope isn't based on your feelings—it’s built on His faithfulness. When everything around you shakes, stand firm. Hold the line. Stay loyal. He’s worth it—and He’s not done yet.

When the storm hits, will you stand firm, trusting God or leaning on your own strength?
