Hebrews Part 3: Sleepy ChristianitySample

Do You Show Bitterness or Forgiveness?
In the physical realm, different modes of transportation (e.g., an automobile or airplane) carry humans from one place to another. In the spiritual realm, various modes of transportation carry demonic persons. Bitterness, or unforgiveness, is a vehicle by which demonic forces travel into your life and relationships.
You live on Earth, the battleground between Heaven and Hell. Hell is the place of unforgiveness; when you do not forgive, you are pulling Hell up into your life. Heaven is the place of forgiveness; when you forgive, you are pulling Heaven down into your life.
When you allow your hurt to turn into hate, you invite demonic torment into your life. Satan and his demons condemn you, haunt you, and torment you. They encourage you to respond to your hurt by hurting others and to your torment by tormenting others.
God creates forgiveness, and Satan counterfeits it with bitterness. Satan and demons are never forgiven for anything, and they never forgive anyone for anything. When you choose not to forgive, you are choosing to welcome the demonic and satanic into your life.
To defeat and disarm the demonic, you must forgive as you have been forgiven. If you do not forgive, you may be forgiven by God but still be haunted, tormented, and broken until you do forgive.
The Holy Spirit wants to help you forgive those who have wronged you so the demonic forces causing you harm can be defeated, disarmed, and dismissed, replaced by His hope, help, and healing. If you turn your enemy and the harm they have caused over to the Holy Spirit, you can then, by God’s power, according to Ephesians 4:31 (ESV), “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.” When you focus on the one who hurt you, you ignore the One who can heal you.
When you forgive, you stop fighting to win and start choosing to worship. You’re not letting them off the hook—you’re setting yourself free. Forgiveness blesses them, but it heals you. It drives out darkness and makes room for the Holy Spirit to move.
As you forgive, something breaks in the unseen realm, and you are free to move on with joy and grace from the Holy Spirit as the burden of offense and vengeance is lifted.
Is there anyone you have not fully forgiven from the heart?
