God says I am ... a temple of the Holy Spirit.

In any great adventure, there’s always a first step—and it often feels more like a big leap. That’s normal. You’re letting go of what’s familiar and stepping into something brand new.

One of the biggest leaps you’ll take as a Christian is believing this truth: God’s power lives inside you.

That power is the Holy Spirit—God’s own Spirit, sent to dwell in you the moment you put your faith in Jesus. Jesus promised that after His victory over sin and death, He would send the Holy Spirit, also called the Helper or Comforter (John 14:16).

The Holy Spirit helps you in so many ways. He reveals truth—about God, yourself, and the world around you. He produces fruit in your life like "love, joy, peace, patience, and kindness" (Galatians 5:22–23, ESV). He gives supernatural gifts like wisdom, healing, and prophecy (1 Corinthians 12:4–11). He strengthens you to overcome sin and live according to God’s will (Romans 8:13–14).

Without the Holy Spirit, you simply cannot live the life God has planned for you. But with Him, you become God’s living temple—His presence no longer contained within four walls of a church, but in you (1 Corinthians 6:19)!

This isn’t just a one-time experience—it’s an ongoing relationship. The only price you pay is surrender, obedience, and a heart open to God’s voice.

Don’t hold yourself back. To take that first step, ask yourself these questions.

If I truly believe the Holy Spirit lives in me:

1. How would my life look different?
2. What would stepping out in faith look like?
3. How would my prayer life change?
4. How would I treat my body and my time differently?
5. What fear or doubt is keeping me from moving forward?

Dear Lord,

I believe You went to the cross for my sake and that through Your resurrection, You defeated sin and death. Because I trust You, I am now a temple of the Holy Spirit.

Help me understand this gift more. Fill me with the fullness of Your Spirit. Teach me to walk with the Spirit each day (Galatians 5:25). Increase my faith so I can overcome fear and live with boldness.

I’m ready, Lord. Use me for Your purpose and glory.
