God says I am ... an ambassador and a conqueror.

You’ve been given one of the most important jobs in the universe: You’ve been appointed as God’s ambassador to a world that desperately needs His love, mercy, and goodness (2 Corinthians 5:20).

Sounds like a big deal, right? Maybe a little overwhelming? Take heart—you were handpicked by God before the foundation of the world (1 Peter 1:2). And He didn’t just call you—He equipped you (Hebrews 13:20–21, Ephesians 1:3), filling you with His Spirit, His power, and yes, even His authority.

Authority over what?

Over everything.

When Jesus rose from the dead, He didn’t just defeat sin and death; He conquered everything—evil, disease, governments, natural laws, even time itself. Then, in a wild and incomprehensible act of trust, He handed the keys of the kingdom (Matthew 16:19) and the authority of His name (John 14:13–14) to you!

That’s why your identity matters so much. The enemy knows that if you’re discouraged, distracted, full of self-loathing, and stuck in shame, he can keep you from walking in the authority Jesus entrusted to you.

It might feel impossible. But thankfully, God knows you weren’t made to live defeated. You were made to conquer. As you grasp who you are in Christ, you can live in humble, faithful, bold, anointed, peaceful, and obedient service to God (Romans 8:37).

Why all this power, purpose, and authority? So that the world would come to know Jesus, the One who loves them and sets them free. (See Matthew 28:18–19.)

Dig deeper with these questions.

1. Do you feel like you can do all things in Christ who gives you strength? Why or why not?
2. In what area of your identity are you usually attacked?
3. What lies were spoken into your identity? Who have you harmed with your words? Ask the Holy Spirit to help you forgive and repent.
4. What does being an ambassador of Christ look like for you?

Dear Lord,

Help me to represent You with mercy, peace, truth, and grace. Let my actions and words reflect Your love and point others directly to You! Fill me with Your Spirit and help me to live a life worthy of Your ambassadorship. I believe that through Your victory, I will be more than a conqueror for Your Kingdom.
