A Book Of Remembrance: Wisdom From The Ages

DAY 31 OF 42

“I see the world being slowly transformed into a wilderness; I hear the approaching thunder that, one day, will destroy us too. I feel the suffering of millions. And yet, when I look up at the sky, I somehow feel that everything will change for the better, that this cruelty too shall end, that peace and tranquility will return once more.”

-Anne Frank-

Anne Frank went through one of the most traumatic times of recorded history. It never ceases to amaze me how she was able to remain so positive during the holocaust. Today’s quote from her exhibits more strength and courage than even the toughest soldiers can stir up on a regular basis. You can just feel the compassion, suffering, and hope leaping off the page, and piercing your heart.

Today’s Bible verse conveys much the same thought. Even in the darkest times, when God seems most distant, we MUST hold on to the promise that is emphatically stated here. When we revere His name, we WILL see Jesus return and remove ALL suffering. (Revelation 21:4) We will be healed and will rejoice!

So, for today, let us look not at the darkness that surrounds us, whether it be the news, in our daily lives, or whatever form it may take. Instead, let us focus on God’s restoring power, and His promise that we will break out of the stall of this physical realm one day, and leap like newborn calves in our new spirit composed bodies. Let us focus on our Father, and our future glory with Him.

About this Plan

A Book Of Remembrance: Wisdom From The Ages

There is an unbreakable law of history. That which has happened before will happen again, if the same ingredients are present.  Looking at the lessons of history through the lens of God's word will provide us with the best ingredients to give us a God centered life. It is truly a recipe for success!
