A Book Of Remembrance: Wisdom From The Ages

DAY 28 OF 42

“I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.”

-Albert Einstein-

Today’s quote from Albert Einstein, one of the most famous scientists of all time, is a somber warning about the realities of war. The human mind is capable of producing magnificent ideas, beautiful architecture, awe-inspiring art, and a never-ending multitude of other such things. All too often, however, our minds are preoccupied with greed, discontent, and misplaced goals. This attitude ultimately leads to war, whether it be with our own conflicting desires, or with other people and nations. (James 4:1-2)

God did not create us for such things. He made us in His image to create beauty and give life. We are His sons and daughters! (2 Corinthians 6:17-18) His creative genes are in us and should be shining through in all we do!

So, for today, let us reflect on what mankind is capable of. Let us glance through the pages of history and see what war does to individuals, nations, and families. Let us strive for something better, something eternal. Let us live to create beauty, and not wretchedness. Let us put war to death, and live as ambassadors of the peaceful love of God.

About this Plan

A Book Of Remembrance: Wisdom From The Ages

There is an unbreakable law of history. That which has happened before will happen again, if the same ingredients are present.  Looking at the lessons of history through the lens of God's word will provide us with the best ingredients to give us a God centered life. It is truly a recipe for success!
