Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneSample

And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment (Hebrews 9:27).
Are you ready to meet your Judge?
Jesus says, "Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you" (John 16:7). The Holy Spirit would aid Jesus' followers and "will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment" (John 16:8). Children of God don't need to fear death and the subsequent judgment. John counsels, "And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming" (1 John 2:28). God fills us with His love when we walk with Him. "Love has been perfected among us in this," writes John, "that we may have boldness in the day of judgement" (1 John 4:17).
Employment Point: Prepare to meet your Judge by walking with Jesus.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions helps readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word.
