Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneSample

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching (Hebrews 10:25).
Do you encourage the saints to grow spiritually at your church?
Jesus predicts the birth of the church in Matthew 16:18. He says to Peter, "I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it." Death —even Jesus' death—would not stop the building of His church. Moreover, it is in the context of the church that we are to minister our spiritual gifts (1 Peter 4:10). It is also the place to be trained by spiritually gifted men. They are given "for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ" (Ephesians 4:12). Indeed, even our future judgment is described within the setting of the church (1 Corinthians 3:11-15).
Employment Point: Be trained and serve others through a Bible-based church.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions helps readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word.
