Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneSample

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:5).
Do you have the mind of Jesus?
Paul commands the saints at Philippi to have the attitude of Jesus. The passage (Philippians 2:5-11) is referred to as the kenosis, which is the Greek term meaning to empty oneself. Jesus left heaven in order to be made like us; therefore, the day is hastening when we'll be like Him (Philippians 3:20-21). Our Lord chose not to exercise some of His attributes when He took on flesh. Although being fully God, He submitted to the Roman cross and didn't display His authority to extricate Himself. Moreover, He made Himself the servant of all by dying on the cross for us. The end result is that “God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name” (Philippians 2:9). Our future greatness depends upon our present service.
Employment Point: Adopt the mind of Jesus and become the servant of all.
