REFLECT + FOCUS

Men are always trying to prove themselves!

Jesus had no need at all to prove Himself to others:

(Jesus) “did not need man’s testimony about man, for he knew what was in a man.”
John 2:25 NIV

And:

“Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; so he got up from the meal… and began to wash his disciples' feet…”
John 13:3-5 NIV

Because Jesus knew who He was, He was able to serve those around Him. Not only that, a few hours later, He was able to die on the cross for all humanity, including His enemies.

It was an amazing act of humility, gentleness and service.

Believe it or not, through the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Christ living in you, you too can walk in that degree of self-less humility and gentleness too.

You have nothing to prove in this life!

You don’t need to have your abilities or achievements recognised.

No one needs to know about your service or diligence.

Your wealth and possessions mean nothing in eternity.

God Himself has “proved” us, by placing us in Christ, and placing His Spirit in us. The most important thing is what God thinks of you. God has qualified you!

SHOUT

In a world where everyone is trying to find value through their own achievements, come humbly today, tell Him how satisfied you are in Him, and just thank Him.

Like the Psalmist, speak out with confidence:

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
Psalm 23:1
