Prepare the Way: Passion Students Winter WkndSample

Our God is a God of joy. Psalm 128 starts off with the word “blessed,” which simply means “happy.” The Psalmist is saying that happy are all people who worship the Lord. While the Bible does not promise life will be easy, it does promise God’s presence. Following Jesus above all the world has to offer will lead to a life lived well. In John 10:10 Jesus promises following him will lead to an abundant life. What are you looking to for happiness? The world offers happiness in temporary riches and pleasures, but the call of the believer is to look to Jesus to satisfy. The one who made us designed us for Himself. God’s laws are not meant to restrict us, but they are meant to lead us to an abundant life.
What blessing from God are you missing out on because of your disobedience?
