Prepare the Way: Passion Students Winter WkndSample

We all know the famous quote from Captain America that says, “I can do this all day.” When he gets knocked down in a fight, and his opponent tells him to stay down, Captain America stands back up and delivers the famous line, continuing to fight. In the same way, the Psalmist says, “they have greatly oppressed me from my youth, but they have not gained the victory.” Throughout history, God’s people were oppressed, enslaved, and conquered. No matter how often they were knocked down, God saved his people and helped them stand back up. The same is true for you and me today! Our God is the same God who saved his people thousands of years ago, and we can trust he is faithful to do the same for us. God has our backs and he hears our cries for help, so when struggle and difficulty comes our way, we can look to him to give us the strength and perseverance we need for victory.
