Prepare the Way: Passion Students Winter WkndSample

With a heart lifted up and eyes raised, one is prideful and self-seeking. This can be someone who gets caught up in the craziness, busyness, and excitement of life, forgetting to remember God along the way. Where do you find yourself today? If you find yourself thinking a lot about yourself, what you want, or what it would take to win the attention of others, take some time to invite God to be the center of your life again. When we remember God’s character, we feel confident about how our circumstances will play out. You don’t have to perform but can rest in God’s love for you. He deeply loves you just the way you are. The psalmist shows us that we can calm and quiet our souls before God because he is worthy of our hope and trust.
Find a time today to “quiet your soul” before God. Open your hands in front of you as a sign of trust.
