“We will not be shaken”
When a farmer sows his field, he needs a point on which he can focus in order to drive his tractor straight. Otherwise, the field would be a mess. It still would be a field but with curved, uneven rows. With a focus point at the end, he will do line after line. This is how it is with us and God.
If we keep our focus on him--not looking right or left, not distracted--we will not be shaken and go straight. Of course, there are struggles in life which try to shake and pull you off the right line. You might not always walk in a straight line, but with your focus on Jesus you see where you are heading.
In Proverbs 3:5-6 it says that if you trust in the Lord with all your heart, God will make your path straight. The more important part in this verse is: “do not lean on your own understanding.” I think this is important to know. God’s path won’t always make sense. With your focus on him it will be straight.
