River Valley Church SOAP - Part 9Sample

This is a letter written by the Apostle Peter to believers in Jesus Christ. He, like Paul, wanted to see believers grow and mature in their faith. Peter wrote to remind the believers of things they had been previously taught. He referenced he was an eyewitness to the actual glory of Jesus on the mountain (Mount of Transfiguration—Matthew 17) and warned against false prophets. Peter closes his book by telling about the last days. He urged believers to remember the promise we have from Jesus for a new heaven and a new earth, to be on guard against those who would teach things in error, and to continue to grow in faith in Jesus Christ.
