The Will of God: Part 2Sample

Pray for God's Kingdom to Come on Earth
- Part of what Jesus taught His disciples to pray for is for God’s will to be done. This is something we should focus on daily in our prayers. What is God’s will according to this passage?
- What would it look like for His Kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven?
- What role can we play in helping to make this a reality?
- How does this prayer also apply to us focusing on our sanctification?
- How does forgiveness or having unforgiveness impact our relationship with God the Father?
- What is His will in forgiveness?
- How does this relate to us becoming more like Jesus? How does us forgiving others impact His kingdom to come?
- Who might you need to forgive or keep forgiving so that you can see God’s will be done?
Take time to meditate on this prayer and pray it in your own words to the Lord. Pray to Him how you want to see His Kingdom come on earth. Ask Him to show you how you can be a part of that. Confess if you’ve been harboring unforgiveness toward others and chose by faith to forgive them by putting their guilt into the true judge’s hands. Receive forgiveness for your sins and thank God for His mercy and grace. Ask Him to help you extend that to others.
