Enemies of the Hustle
Social Media
Would you rather be liked online or loved in person? Social media can be great. But for all of us growing up in a generation saturated with social media, getting enough “likes,” comments, and online friends can become an unhealthy obsession. Even when our posts are grounded in truth, our heart's attitude in sharing that truth is key. Ask yourself these questions: Is it about me and my need to be right? Is the Lord being glorified?
We’re called to make the most of our time, not throw it away. Would we be shocked if we saw the time we spend posting, commenting, and scrolling various social media platforms? We each have responsibilities and obligations, whether at home, school, or the ministry. And as believers, we ought to prioritize time in our Bibles and in prayer.
Goal:
Social media has a sneaky way of being a “time thief” and “gossip circle”. Continue to work on being sensitive to the Spirit’s leading as to how much time to spend on any social platform and what you should partake of on that platform.
