Giving Up  

Have you ever been caught in the trap of thinking I just don’t see progress fast enough? 

Maybe you’re trying to lose weight, and you walk on the treadmill 3x one week, but you gained 2 lbs. Or, you read your Bible plan all week, but still yell at your parents. You think to yourself, "The work I did all week didn’t seem to matter," and you quit.

The mistake we often make is concluding that small GOOD decisions and actions don’t matter because we don’t see huge immediate results. God isn’t a microwave God! He is an oven-baked, process-based God. An oven-baked pie takes time to be good, but it is worth all the waiting and work. Just like that pie, areas in our spiritual walk take time, but they are always worth the wait and process.

Goal:

Where have you given up too soon on God’s process in the past? Plug back in to the work and wait in that area; the result God brings in the end will be worth it!
