Enemies of the Hustle
Apathy
Apathy is passionless living. It is sitting in front of the television night after night and living your life from one moment of entertainment to the next. It is the inability to be shocked into action by the steady-state of lostness and suffering of the world. It is the emptiness that comes from thinking of godliness as not doing bad things instead of the competitive pursuit of doing “good things.”
God calls us to live a life contrary to apathy. He calls us to take action and push forward daily to expand His kingdom on the earth. God knows you have every distraction in the world laid before you, but knows He has put in you the Spirit to overcome the distractions and focus on the purpose He has set before you!
Goal:
Write down one goal for this week that will help you take action for Christ. Maybe it is praying for 10 minutes a day or spending 15 minutes in God’s Word. It could be something else entirely, like having a better attitude or giving someone else your time and resource. The point is to set your goal, and develop a plan to accomplish it.
