Blessing For Todayគំរូ

Sufficiency
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, gathered seven baskets of loaves as leftovers after feeding the multitude and everyone had plenty to eat. The disciples carefully collected the fragments that remained and filled seven baskets with it. Is this not a great example? Jesus was concerned about wasting; He never wasted His resources.
I know of an official who was highly placed and was receiving a magnificent monthly salary. Yet, his household was perpetually in debts. The reason was a very obvious one. Every month as soon as he received his salary, on his way home, he would spend the major part of it in purchasing very expensive knick-knacks and curios that caught his fantasy. In a similar way, at home his loving wife would prepare very lavish food every day, much more than what was consumed by the family members. A large quantity of food was thus in surplus always. She either gave it away to the servants or threw it away into the refuse dump. No wonder their income was always found to be insufficient.
How necessary it is that we should properly utilize every penny that the Lord has given to us and be very diligent in the manner in which we spend it. Surely, it is within our capacity to avoid wasteful expenditure.
Prayer
“Lord God, it is true that how much ever I earn, it all seems to vanish like vapour within a short while. Lord, let me not be a fool to spend my hard earned money wastefully, but let Your Holy Spirit teach me how to spend it carefully. This I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Every day we must know the plans that the Lord has kept in store for our lives. The Lord has given us His word to reveal His plans to us. He reveals His plans through the word of God as we read it with reverence and prayer. When we hear His voice through our meditation of His word our hearts will burn like fire filled with joy (Psalm 39:3). Then as we follow it with proclamation of those words through the power of the Holy Spirit through our prayer, the blessings of that day will come upon us. Not only the blessings, but the grace of God shall come upon us to carry out that day’s work. We have compiled the Bible passage for you to read as well as the Lord’s revelation for each day. We pray that through this the Lord may give you the grace to be connected to Him throughout this year.
