Hard Work Rewarded 

Once when we had been to the Middle Eastern countries for ministry, we stayed in a brother’s house who was leading a god-fearing life. He was an accountant in a company. But he owned a big house and also a beautiful car. We happened to meet his master who had come with his family and what he shared with us that day surprised us a great deal. He said, “Sir! I am the master just in name! But the real master is this brother who looks after everything in the company. Since the day he joined my company, it has been flourishing. Now I own four companies!” He plans and executes everything very skillfully through prayers. I do exactly what the Lord would reveal to him and everything becomes a success! So I am thriving and possess great wealth today. 

My friend, what a glorious witness! Whether you plough or make an artifact or write an article or manage employees–whatever your hand finds to do–do it for the Lord. Thus, when you work with all your heart diligently for your master, as though you are working for the Lord and not for men, the Lord will definitely lift you up in front of men, and through you His name will be magnified. This is the testimony everyone should carry. 

Prayer

“Heavenly Father, I pray that Your word would dwell richly in me and fill me with Your wisdom to guide me in every step I take. Give me the grace to work hard and wisely in my work place and lift me accordingly. This I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
