Blood-shed 

One day, a little boy was playing in a place where a building was under construction. Suddenly, a chemical lime fell into his eyes and he writhed in pain and agony. A country doctor came by that side and saw this boy writhing in pain suffering with a burning sensation in his eyes. He said only blood was the best cure for his eyes to be cleansed. But, none came forward to give their blood. At that time, the boy’s mother heard the news and came running to that place. She took a knife and cut her hands and poured her blood in her son’s eyes and cleansed it. 

Yes, this is a mother’s love! This mother could not bear to see her own son suffering with pain. So, she was willing to give her blood for him to be cured. Similarly, Jesus has shed his blood to cleanse your sins. When nothing can lift you up, His love lifts you up. The only remission for sin was shedding of blood. Jesus chose to shed His precious and holy blood as an atonement for sin. 

Ponder over this great love which came down to bless you. He gave His blood for you. Now, a spring of blessing is in operation in your life. Goodness will follow you. No harm or lack can ever come near your dwelling. Be of good cheer. 

Prayer

“Loving heavenly Father, thank You for this precious salvation. I am saved by faith through grace. Lord, open my eyes to see the height, length and breadth of this great love. Lead me to someone who does not know about this great love. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
