Life-Giving Blood

When a covenant is made, the shedding of blood must occur. The old covenant was inaugurated with blood. The death of an animal to atone for the sins of Israel was necessary for the old covenant to be ratified. Therefore a death was necessary to consecrate the new covenant.

Many years ago, I went to a museum in Pudukottai. In that museum, they portrayed a bird with long beak and by its side there were many small chicks. The chicks had long beaks, too. There was a small placard explaining the history of the bird and how it survived in the world. The moment the chicks were born, they prick the chest of its mother with their long beak and drink their mother’s blood. Those chicks live on their mother’s blood. And the mother dies by giving its blood to its chicks.

Beloved, just like this mother bird, Jesus gave all His blood for your sake. On the cross, He died for you so that you may live. Do you see death in any area of your life –in finance, relationship, health or studies? Claim the blood of Jesus and apply it by faith on those dead areas. Receive His grace and see miracles. Anything that comes in contact with His blood springs back to life.

Prayer

“Loving heavenly Father, I thank You for the blood shed on the cross. Thank You for this new covenant formed with Your precious blood. I bring all the dead areas of my life. Let the victory of Your blood revive them. Help me to enjoy a good life on this earth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Blessing For Today

Every day we must know the plans that the Lord has kept in store for our lives. The Lord has given us His word to reveal His plans to us. He reveals His plans through the word of God as we read it with reverence and prayer. When we hear His voice through our meditation of His word our hearts will burn like fire filled with joy (Psalm 39:3). Then as we follow it with proclamation of those words through the power of the Holy Spirit through our prayer, the blessings of that day will come upon us. Not only the blessings, but the grace of God shall come upon us to carry out that day’s work.  We have compiled the Bible passage for you to read as well as the Lord’s revelation for each day. We pray that through this the Lord may give you the grace to be connected to Him throughout this year.
