The Crocodile Pond 

In an army, one particular unit was not performing their duty properly. So, the Commander sent that particular unit for some special training. Every morning, they would have to run many miles on the high hills, amidst bushes and cross a small pond of about 10 feet in length. On the first day, they all started running and finished the training. Then they fell into the pond for a dip because of the very hot climate. The commander saw them and said, “These people won’t obey my command, they will be afraid of only one thing.” So, on the second day, the commander let a crocodile into that pond, so that they will not jump into the pond. Next day, the team got ready for training. When they came near the pond, they saw the crocodile with its mouth wide open. Immediately, they jumped over the pond by 15 feet. After that incident, they obeyed their Commander and turned out to be best unit in Army. 

Beloved, God is a good Father. A good father chastens his child. There is no child on this earth who has never received chastening from their parents. Today, God’s chastening helps you to live a prosperous life. God’s word is life, light and strength to you. As you read the Bible and meditate on His word, He starts to operate in your life in turn making you a better person, every day. You will shine like a star in this world. 

Prayer

“Loving heavenly Father, I thank You for the love that You revealed on the cross. You still express Your love by chastening me every day through Your precious word. Lord, keep my heart open to receive Your precious chastening and enjoy my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
