Fragrance of Christ 

Many years ago, one day, when my father returned home from work, suddenly, a wonderful smell drew me. I was a very little boy, and I went around my house to find out the source of that smell. My search was futile. When I started to give my dad kisses as usual, I found that it was coming from my dad’s attire. I was very surprised and asked him, “What is this, dad? A good fragrance is coming from your dress. You never use any perfumes!” My father said, “Today, I went to a sandal oil manufacturing factory for inspection regarding the loans taken from our bank. I stood amidst sandal wood and sandal oil for three hours. That is why my body smells of sandalwood.” 

Beloved in Christ, the Bible says that you are the fragrance of Christ. Yes! God sees you like that. Do not disregard yourself. Wherever you stand, sit, work, speak or sing, people will see Christ in you. So, be alert! Do not think or do anything that will conceal the Lord Jesus in you. Spread the fragrance of the Lord. Make the day smell good for you and others. Let the power of His love flow as a sweet fragrance. 

Prayer

“Loving Father, I thank You for saving me and dwelling in me. Thank You for making me the fragrance of Christ. Help me to spread this fragrance wherever I am. Fill me with Your grace needed for today. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
