Closer Walk 

The Bible says that anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. Yes, the mere word ‘Faith’ reveals to us the existence of God and that He will reward those who seek Him in faith. 

There was once a lady in the United States of America. She murdered someone in a gruesome manner. So she was put in jail and was given the death sentence. In the prison, few people who loved Jesus met her and spoke about the Lord Jesus Christ. Slowly her heart was transformed and she started leaning on God. She started reading the word of God and gave her heart completely to Jesus. On the last day before she was to be executed, the jailor told her, “Oh! Lady, you must be in a sorrowful condition. There is nothing anyone could do.” But, she said, “I am filled with joy because I know that all my sins are forgiven and after my death, I will go to the Lord Jesus and ask for forgiveness once again, and I know that Jesus will take me in His bosom.” 

My friend, this is the assurance that God gives to everyone who has faith in Him. He gives you the right to become His child. All you have to do is ask for forgiveness and have faith in Him. When you have unshakeable faith in Him, He will embrace you in His bosom. 

Prayer

“Loving Father, I thank You for the word of blessing You have given me today. Anoint me with Your Holy Spirit and guide me in the walk of faith like my forefathers. Let not my sins separate me from Your presence; forgive me and wash me clean. This I ask in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
