Preparing the Bride

DAY 5 OF 5

Day 5: A Grand Entrance

Reading: 2 Peter 1:10–11

Devotional Peter closes this section with a promise and a challenge. If you diligently pursue spiritual growth, if you add to your faith and seek the kingdom and work out what God has worked in, you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of Jesus Christ. Not a barely-made-it entrance. A grand one. The goal was never to arrive in heaven having done as little as possible, relieved to have squeaked through. The goal is to finish well. To have lived fully, loved sacrificially, and served faithfully. One day, you will stand before Jesus and give an account for how you used your time, your gifts, and your resources. Today is a moment in that account. Your response to God's call right now is part of the story you will tell. Choose to be ready. Choose to be found faithful. He is worth everything you give.

Reflection: If today were the day Jesus returned, what would you wish you had done differently? Let that answer shape what you do tomorrow.

Prayer Jesus, I want to finish well. I want to stand before You one day, not with excuses but with stories of obedience and faith. Help me to live today as it matters for eternity, because it does. I give You my time, my gifts, and my whole life. Come find me ready. In Your name, Amen.

About this Plan

Preparing the Bride

Jesus is coming back for a bride who is ready. Not perfect, but prepared. Not finished, but faithfully growing. This 5-day devotional is a call to stop waiting passively and start living with purpose. God has already given you everything you need. The question is what you are doing with it. Each day builds on the last, moving from recognizing what you already have to actively cultivating it, to finishing well when He arrives.
