You’re Not Meant to Do This Alone
Who has shaped your faith the most over the years?
When Paul writes to Titus, he gives very practical instructions about how different groups of people should live. Older men, older women, younger women, younger men.
“Teach the older men… Likewise, teach the older women… Then they can urge the younger…” (Titus 2:2–4, NIV)
It’s very relational, and that’s because faith is meant to be lived out in community!
It’s easy to think of spiritual growth as something personal and individual. And it is personal. But it’s not meant to be isolated.
Other people play a real role in how we grow. Sometimes that comes through intentional relationships, and sometimes it happens more organically, through conversations, shared life, and observing how others live.
There’s also something important about being connected across generations. Each stage of life carries something different.
Older believers often carry steadiness, perspective, and endurance. Younger believers often bring energy, hunger, and fresh faith. When those come together, it strengthens the whole community.
Left to ourselves, it’s easy to stay within our comfort zone—people who are similar to us, at the same stage of life. But that can limit what God wants to do in us.
Reflection & Practice:
Think about your current relationships. Are they mostly with people in a similar stage of life?
This week, take one step toward a different generation. It could be starting a conversation, asking a question, or spending time with someone you wouldn’t normally connect with.
About this Plan

We were made for more and created to live differently. We are not just forgiven, we are being formed. Through the gospel, God makes us new and calls us to reflect Jesus in the way we live and love. This Bible plan explores how salvation is not the finish line, but the starting point of a transformed life.
