Reflection:

• In verses 24-25, Jesus urged those listening to consider carefully what Jesus was teaching them. How can you cultivate a deeper longing to understand Jesus’ teachings? What does it mean to listen to Jesus with an open heart?
• Jesus compared the Kingdom of God to both a lamp that grows from within and seed that when sown, grows from within the ground. How is the Kingdom of God currently at work within you? How do you see yourself growing and maturing in your faith?
• Jesus used seemingly small objects to compare to the Kingdom of God. Though they begin small, they bring dramatic results! Is there something in your life God is doing right now that may seem small or hidden, but will bring about a great harvest in time?

Pray and Apply:

Take a few minutes to pray and ask the Holy Spirit to develop within you a deeper longing to understand and live by Jesus’ teachings. Allow Him to remind you how Jesus is at work in your life, and thank Him that the Kingdom of God at work within you may seem small at times, but will yield a great harvest in your life that will be a great blessing not only to you but to the world around you!
