Sin is anything that breaks God’s laws. There is never anything we should be comfortable with in our lives. Sin is the very thing from the beginning of mankind that separated us from fellowship with God.

As we fight the flesh, there may be times we give in to temptation and sin. We should not let sin have a place in our lives and take control of us. We should always confess and forsake sin. Examining our lives for sin is an important step toward having nothing between our souls and the Savior. The psalmist said in Psalm 139:23-34, “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

Daily ask the Lord to search your heart for sin. One of the keys to victory over sin is to stay in close fellowship with the Lord. Pray and ask the Lord to reveal sin in your life, then confess and forsake those sins. God has abundant grace to forgive our sins. He is ready to forgive us of our sins by casting them as far as the east is from the west!
