The Confidence of Eternal Life

The assurance of eternal salvation is rooted only in eternal life not in our works. Salvation is actually synonymous to eternal life. So our salvation is as durable as the life of God we have received at the New Birth. Most confusion on the subject of eternal salvation is lack of understanding of eternal life.

Jesus said in His word unequivocally that believers shall never perish neither will any man or vices of the enemy pluck them out of His firm grip. This assurance is on the account of eternal life, not your ability to stay in his grip. Jesus is God’s arm of salvation and nothing will overwhelm His power to keep us till the end.

As a believer, you must by all means walk worthy of the nature and life of God you have received in Christ. We owe it to Him to make His nature we have partaken to be evident to the world, but what guarantees your rapture is eternal life not your lifestyle.

Because you have eternal life, you should always be excited at the thought or conversation on rapture. The same life that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you. And the Bible says it will quicken us on the day of resurrection.
